This was our first year as parents so of course we had to do a good Ole family costume. Fairly Oddparents. It was honestly humbling to see how many younger kids did not know who we were. We got many compliments on our costume but the only people who knew who we were, were people our age and up. Definitely made me realize how fast time is going.
We are now in the chapter of our lives where Saturday plans involve going to 1 year old birthday parties and truthfully, I love that. Spent the early afternoon celebrating our friend's little one and then the evening passing out candy to the trick or treaters....all 7 of them. Not such a hot spot where we are I guess. Well, to the one kid who dumped the entirety of our candy bowl into their bag while we were walking the neighborhood (yes I wrote a note and hoped kids would follow the good faith system..my mistake) I guess our house was probably the best one they went to.
Here's to our first Halloween with a baby and a house. Decorating the inside and outside together as a family was a highlight for me this season. I hope everyone had a good time passing out candy or going to get a some.! Happy Halloween.!!
