Christmas Morning
We started out Christmas day by checking to see if Santa stopped by to eat his milk and cookies (of course he did, he would not forget those delicious red velvet cookies sitting on the coffee table(; ).
Then we put the premade French toast casserole in the oven. A new Christmas breakfast momma decided to try this year. While that was baking, releasing a delicious cinnamon aroma into the air, we got busy opening our stockings and baby was spoiled.! Lots of new foods to try and sippy cups to use. Mom and dad exchanged some gifts and baby got to open his gifts from mom and dad and Santa. The biggest being his first guitar (albeit a giraffe one but still counts). Along with a Miss Rachel microphone, car keys and his own gaming controller. There's a whole haul on my Tiktok (Deliciously.everafter). Then we got a phone call from BB, his grandma, and decided she should come over for breakfast. It was nice enjoying a Christmas casserole with her here.
As I am sure all married or dating mommas, wives and girlfriends know, holidays mean multiple stops to multiple houses. Splitting holidays is bittersweet. Absolute chaos with a baby but worth it. Seeing family but worrying about time, lots of food but wicked bloating. Nonetheless it was a good time starting at my husband's side. Food, white elephant, baby entertainment.
Second stop was my side of the family. Started with some food and then opened all our gifts. Baby got a keyboard and some drums. He has everything he needs to be a one man band now. We ended with another white elephant and some baby entertainment/snuggles.
Overall it was such an amazing first Christmas for our little one filled with excitement, joy, family and love. I hope everyone had an amazing holiday.
